TULLAMORE SHOW RESULTS -PDF DOWNLOAD
The 30th National Simmental Show took place in conjunction with the National Livestock Show at Tullamore on Sunday. With 111 animals catalogued for this Simmental Show and 14 Classes down for decision including 11 National titles, Sundays Simmental showpiece did not disappoint the packed ringside.
Judging the classes and having the responsibility of tapping forward the Supreme Simmental Champion was Jim Goldie from the Newbiemains Herd, which is based in Annan, Scotland. Jim has judged many prestigious events including the Royal Welsh Show, the Sterling Bull Sale in February 2025 where his overall Champion Hemmingford Prince Charming sold for the record price of €65,500. Jim is no stranger to Southern Ireland and last judge here at the Premier Sale in Roscommon in October 2016.
Supreme Champion
At the end of what was described by many cattle enthusiasts as the best Show of Simmental for many years, Jim Goldie tapped forward Jennalyn Nora Jean as the Supreme Simmental Champion for 2026. Having earlier in the day won the National Senior Cow Championship, Senior Female and Overall Female Championship this rising 5-year-old cow captured a first Supreme Championship for Lyndsey Behan, Ballyfin, Portlaoise. Sired by Manor Park Hansome and out of a Banwy T-Rex dam Jennalyn Flora Nora, this working cow was shown with her March born bull calf at foot.
Taking the Reserve Supreme accolade was Ballycarra Tyson ET for Jamie Reape, Carra, Bonniconlon, Co. Sligo. This August 2025 born bull was crowned National Yearling Bull Champion, Junior Male Champion, Overall Male Champion before going on the be Supreme Reserve. Sired by Curaheen Warrior, this ET bull is out of a Hillcrest Champion dam, Hillcrest Jacinta.
Standing as Overall Reserve Female Champion was Raceview The Lucky One for Peter & Marion O`Connell, Raceview, Knoppogue, Mallow, Co. Cork. This Raceview Mattie J Beauty sired heifer was earlier placed as the National Junior Heifer Champion, before going on the be placed reserve Senior Female and reserve Overall Female.
Taking the Overall Reserve Male award was Loughnavelly Tank ET for Peter Fagan, Clonfad, Dalystown, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. This October`2025 born bull is sired by Saltire Impressive and also won the National Weanling Bull Championship and reserve Junior Male rosette.
Other winners of National Classes were:
National Weanling Heifer – Bearna-Dhearg Titaness for the O`Halloran Family, Cahir, Co. Tipperary. Also placed as Junior Female Champion.
National Yearling Heifer – Deerview Tiffany Queen ET for Cian Martin, Templederry, Nenagh. Co. Tipperary. Also placed as reserve Junior Female Champion.
National Intermediate Heifer – Raceview Spicy Posh for Ronan Finn, Crannford, Gorey, Co. Wexford.
National Senior Heifer – Clodagh Radiant Trixie for Garrett Behan, Ballyfin, Portlaoise, Co. Laois.
National Junior Cow – Clonagh Precious Gloria P for Garrett Behan, Ballyfin, Portlaoise, Co. Laois.
National Junior Bull – Clonagh Top Class Explorer for Garrett Behan, Ballyfin, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. Also placed as Senior Male Champion.

The Society would like to thank Jim Goldie for travelling to Tullamore to judge this 30th National Show. The Society would also like to acknowledge the effort all the exhibitors went to in order to put a super show of Simmental cattle in front of the judge. Also deserving of special mention are the spectators who travel yearly to Tullamore and never leave the ring while judging is in progress.
